Marco Ciglia is a world class European based 1stAD that has been working in Feature films and HETV senior management for over 25 years. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America.

 

Marco brings vast knowledge & experience to any project he undertakes. He excels at creating robust and accurate schedules, with an incredible breadth of oversight, attention to detail, and a level of meticulous planning that is hard to match.

On set Marco likes to engender a strong work ethic, by promoting a culture of professionalism and a positive motivational working environment to allow the cast and crew to flourish.

While he runs a very tight ship, he insists on running it with a smile! Friendly and light hearted, while maintaining a highly disciplined systematic approach, laser focused on the work in hand. He is totally unflappable under pressure, staying calm and positive regardless of the situation.

Marco has considerable experience filming overseas, in over 20 countries including Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, Spain, Croatia, Serbia, Lithuania, Estonia, Romania, Slovenia, Malta, Luxembourg, Austria, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England.

 

Extensively trained in applicable health & safety both in the UK and USA, Marco takes his H&S responsibilities very seriously and works hand in hand with the H&S supervisor & Production to ensure the safety of the cast and crew is always of primary concern.

 

His skill set is extensive having filmed productions with 100+ consecutive shoot days, working with A list cast, SAG, Equity contracts, multi-episodic scheduling, virtual production and 2nd unit Directing. He enjoys a good working relationship with many studios and bond companies.

Marco is a dual National, British & Italian, holding both passports. He has bases in London, Prague, and Milan.
